Known in NATO as the Fulcrum, the Mikoyan MiG 29 is a Soviet designed and built aircraft that evolved over 2 decades of advances in technology, entering service in 1982. The Mikoyan 29 is a 4th Generation Fighter Jet that was built to combat other 4th generation fighters such as the F-14 Tomcat, the McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle, the General Dynamics F-16, the Dassault Mirage 2000 and the F/A-18 Hornet.
The Mikoyan MIG 29 is a twin jet fighter that although originally designed for direct combat with other 4th generation fighters, has since been furnished and evolved for multi role operations such as air to surface armaments and precision munitions.
Since the fall of the Soviet Union, sales of the Mikoyan MIG 29 have seen up to 30 other countries purchasing the aircraft. There have also been many improvements and upgrades of the aircraft and as such it still is in active service and has influenced the design of a 5th generation multirole fighter called the MIG-35.

The video below shows another example of the Mikoyan MiG 29 and it’s maneuverability, this time though the aircraft is a replica radio controlled version from Essential RC
All in all I’d say the Soviet Mikoyan MiG 29 is an amazing aircraft, completely supported by the fact that it is still in service after 36 years of production.
