Atlantis The Palm, Dubai

Dubai has become known for it’s opulence and the latest addition is The Atlantis The Palm Hotel. Apparently it cost approximately 2 Billion Australian Dollars to build and they spent something like 30 Million Dollars just to put on a opening ceremony.

I am sure that they will make their money back and much more, I just went online to book a few nights at the hotel and the price per room is between 2100 and 6500 United Arab Emirates Dirham (AED) and these prices did not include a 10% Service fee and 10% municipality fee. So if you are an Aussie expect to pay in the order of $1000 to $3000 per room per night.

Most Australians who enjoy music would love the Band Cold Chisel. Even if you are to young to remember them, you may have parents who do.

Flame Trees by Cold Chisel is one of my all time favourites songs. For those of you who don’t know the song, maybe you not from Australia, well sit back and enjoy the song and have a look at what Australian country life was like about 20 years ago. Actually it’s not too different to typical country life these days.
