Foggy mountain breakdown

July 17, 2008

Video: YouTube

My musical tastes are for the most part Rock, but this piece of bluegrass, performed by Earl Scruggs and friends, obviously talented and very experienced musicians, I really like… hope you do too.

Now whilst on the topic of music I like, I have to say I hate Country and Western! They can take there sorry stories of lost love, their dog dying, being out on the prairie, being God fearing and they can also take their huge hats and belt buckles and stuff it.

Boy do I hate Country and Western, and the inane conservatism sooo much that in my last few operations to repair some injuries, just prior to being put under, I told the anesthetist. “I hate Country and Western.” Taken aback and possibly not sure what he’d heard, he said “Beg your pardon? I told him, “Just in case, my last words will be, I hate Country and Western.” He then burst out laughing and told me he was a musician and he understood.

It’s good to see Santa making good use of his time during his off season. Hey, I really enjoyed that! Steve Martin on banjo – I knew he played but I didn’t know he was that good. It’s funny how they had to put Paul in another room, …I sometimes wish Letterman would do the same;-)

Got something to say?
