Australian classics: Khe Sanh by Cold Chisel

As far as Aussie classics go, you can’t do much better than the Band Cold Chisel and their most famous song Khe Sanh.

Many a young aussie of the last 25 years or so would be able to recount late nights at their local pub or club with this song being played sometimes more than once a night due to it’s popularity. A few drinks too many and singing their hearts out to Khe Sanh. It’s almost a right of passage.

A man who trusts his; I assume his own, work. I did my share of working on Robots, admittedly in the early days, but I’d have still worn a helmet.

U.S.Navy releases Al Qaeda Terrorist - I can’t believe it!!!

The US Navy today announced that it has released a senior Al Qaeda terrorist after questioning him extensively for 27 days while being held prisoner aboard a US aircraft carrier in the Arabian Sea.

This picture was sent to me by email from a mate of mine.

Radar Love, Golden Earring

February 21, 2008

Video:YouTube

Radar Love, what an awesome song out of the seventies by Golden Earring. The Dutch band that has the record of being the oldest still performing rock band in the world today. The clip is quite funny and worth a look, although it doesn’t seem to fit with the rock and roll image.

Girls Talk by Dave Edmunds and Rockpile

February 21, 2008

Video: YouTube

First of all let me say sorry for pushing the occasional 70s or 80s song on you all. I just always liked the sound of this song. If you don’t agree just stop it playing. If you do like it, then sit back, relax and put you feet up for a couple of minutes and enjoy the sound of Dave Edmunds and his band Rockpile singing Girls Talk.
