New Airport Runway in Portugal Part 2

We were recently asked where the New Airport Runway in Portugal was.

We thought maybe our readers may want some more information about the airport and to also give you all a different perspective of the runway.

Firstly the runway is in the City of Funchal on the Island of Madeira, which is owned by Portugal and lies off the coast of Africa and Portugal, see below.

These next few photos show roughly what a pilot would see as they would be approaching landing at Funchal Airport. Any mistake from the pilot and the whole plane, passengers and all could end up in the drink.

Once you have Google Earth installed type, FUNCHAL AIRPORT, MADEIRA, PORTUGAL into the Fly to box and press the begin search, magnifying glass to go.

Once you have found the site you can zoom in and out, change the angle or spin the direction around to look from different sides.
