I once saw footage of a Russian baby so young that it was impossible for it to crawl, yet it was happily swimming under water with it’s eyes open, surfacing for breaths and diving back under water… I was absolutely stunned and strangely elated by the scene, which beggars the question, why do kids still drown everyday in back yard pools and dams?

It surprizing that some people walk into props, but they do, which brings to mind a little truism…

Some propellers have the name McCauley on them, some have the name Hartzell on them… watch out for the propeller with your name on it.

Answer to short puzzle

2 days ago we posed a small puzzle as set out below

There is a bus with 7 girls

Each girl carries 7 bags

Inside each bag there are 7 cats

Every cat has 7 kittens

All cats and kittens have 4 legs

Question: How many legs are in the bus?

The answer is 10,990 That is if you don’t count that there might be a bus driver.

So how did we work it out

Well 7 girls with 7 handbags is 7×7 handbags = 49 handbags

There are 7 cats in each handbag so 7×49 = 343 Cats

Each cat has 7 kittens so there are 7×343 = 2401 Kittens

So now adding up the legs there are;

7 Girls with 2 legs each so 7×2 = 14 Legs for the girls

There are 343 cats so 343×4 = 1372 legs for the cats

There are 2401 kittens so 2401×4 = 9604 legs for the kittens

So there are a total of 14+1372+9604 = 10,990 legs altogether.

For those of you who got this right you are definitely in the minority as very few were able to get it.
